I’m punching myself for never thinking of this idea! I’m constantly losing track of hair bands and bobby pins.
I’m just wondering what I could put in it to weigh it down a bit..

Anonymous asked: Hi, I am in the process of getting my own sewing studio and my fabrics are EVERYWHERE, any suggestions on cute storage ideas for my fabrics and all that? Thanks
I do indeed :)
This could be my favorite fabric storage idea. She uses fabric organizers that you can buy here, but you could make them pretty easily. (You can find a how-to here!)

I really love this idea from Cut Out & Keep. It’s a fabric booklet, so you can easily keep track of what fabric you have, and how much of it you have. It’s a really great idea if you make things for friends or clients, so they can easily browse through your fabrics :)
They include a pdf download of the template, so it’s really simple!
Here’s another tutorial for a fabric rack that looks pretty handy:

This is another one of my favorite all around DIY ideas. Using baby food jars to store pins, buttons, thread, etc:

Also! Here’s a list of fabric storage inspiration, including this idea which I really love:

I BELIEVE those are pants hangers that are being used. I think. I see them all over the place, so I don’t think they’d be too hard to find.
I hope these ideas helped! Let me know if you need any more :)
Good luck!!

Anonymous asked: What can I do with my old belts when it comes to organizing?
I have two favorite ways of organizing belts.
1) screw small hooks into the walls of your closet, door or wall (evenly spaced, in a straight line so as not to look too messy) and hang them by their buckles!
2) SHOWER RINGS! You can fit quite a few belts on one shower ring, and you can hook those shower rings onto a hanger to store in your closet!
I hope this helped! Good luck :)
Anyone else have ideas? Let me know!
Anonymous asked: this probably sounds a little silly but do you have any tutorials on things you can use a pringles can for?
haha, what’s silly is the fact that I actually have Pringles can ideas bookmarked!

I seriously can’t believe I’ve never thought of this. It seems so obvious, and so PERFECT!

I loooooved kaleidoscopes when I was a kid. Shoot- I still love them.

I feel like it’s the perfect height to store knitting needles! Or you could cut it in half for your crochet hooks, which is what I’d do :)
There are a million other uses you could come up with too, in case you don’t knit or crochet.

I’d use fabric instead of ribbon, but that’s just me.

Okay, I think that’s about all I have.
Oh, also! Here’s a picture of a beaver and a platypus eating pringles:

Good luck! :)

I have a tip from my father, but no pretty photos to go along with it: pill bottles. He uses them to store push pins and tiny screws and whatnot. He has several daily prescriptions, so might as well use the bottles for something, right?
yes, absolutely! that’s a great idea.
now I must start to keep empty pill bottles, decorate them and save them for tiny storage!
thanks!!
Never neglect any of your makeup again with this custom D.I.Y Makeup Magnet Board tutorial!

ORGANIZATION! thank you, pieconspiracy for showing me this!

Hang your shoes (and make pretty hangers!) in your closet to free up a lotttt of space.

I know this is kind of boring and simple, but keeping papers organized makes a huge difference. And you might as well do it in a pretty handmade box :)

My name is Alex. This is a tumblr where I will document various interweb project finds (including baking, crocheting, cooking, crafts, etc), and DIY projects of my own as well. I very rarely post things that don't include a tutorial or a how-to. Allons-y!
